Terms & Conditions
RADIO EQUIPMENT RENTAL - TERMS & CONDITIONS
To summaries the Terms & Conditions which can be found in full on our website – www.hksltd.net
1. By renting anything from us, you are indicating that you accept and agree to our Terms & Conditions.
2. The renter is responsible for looking after our equipment and for ensuring its safe return to us at the end of the rental period. We do not provide any "insurance".
3. If any rented equipment is lost, stolen or damaged whilst on hire, then the hirer must pay us for the replacement cost of the lost or damaged equipment, no matter who they may think is "to blame" for the equipment being lost, stolen or damaged.
4. It is the renter’s responsibility to insure Radio Equipment being sent by courier is secure.
For example, if the renter uses a cheap, uninsured and un-trackable delivery service to return the rented equipment, and the parcel disappears en-route, the renter is responsible for reimbursing us for the lost equipment. They cannot simply say "but I gave it to TT Post, so it is not our responsibility".
We recommend using a well-known and reputable delivery service and taking out insurance if needed.
5. It is the renter’s responsibility to notify us upon receipt of their Radio Equipment if anything is missing, or if it appears damaged or is not working.
This should be done as soon as the renter receives and unpacks the equipment, to ensure that we know that the loss or damage was not caused by the renter.
6. Our maximum liability to you is what you paid to us for the equipment rental.
If for any reason the rented equipment does not perform to the renter’s satisfaction, then we may choose to refund the cost to the renter, but we cannot be held responsible for any other costs that the renter may incur.
7. If the renter fails to return the rented equipment by the agreed date, the renter agrees to pay for the ongoing rental costs until the equipment is returned. This may be taken using any payment card details supplied to pay for the initial rental.
We won't be unreasonable over slightly late returns, but if a 2 day rental ends up being 4 days, then we will charge you for the extra rental period in full.
8. We reserve the right to request suitable ID for our KYC protocols before renting out any radio equipment.

Anti Money Laundering (AML)
Money laundering is defined as any process involving the concealment of the origins of illegally obtained money, typically by means of transfers involving foreign banks or legitimate businesses. Criminals specifically target financial services firms through which they attempt to launder criminal proceeds without the firm's knowledge or suspicions.
The HKS Online Store allows customers to buy and sell item(s). As such, and in response to the threat of money laundering activity being conducted through the Online Store, HKS has adopted an anti-money laundering policy which is followed by all members of HKS and Clients (sellers).
HKS uses KYC and AML standards of the client's country of residence and follows all relevant regulatory and legal frameworks. In the absence of appropriate explicit frameworks speaking to the use of an online store and selling of items, HKS adopts the most stringent relevant standards of compliance in effect globally and follows established industry practices.
Our KYC and AML Policy sets out minimum standards of compliance and establishes a Risk Based Approach (RBA) towards assessing and managing the money laundering and terrorist financing risks to the company. These include:
HKS also prohibits transactions with individuals, companies and countries that are on prescribed Sanctions lists and therefore screen against UN, EU, UK Treasury and US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions lists in all jurisdictions in which we operate and prior to customer verification.
